When you google search "Laken", most likely the definition that pops up is this one: 

Laken is the Irish goddess of wisdom, beauty, grace, love, and outstanding physique. She is generally depicted as a young (looks 19, no matter what her age), insanely attractive girl with perfectly-styled, flowing red hair. Calling someone a "Laken" is considered to be a compliment of the utmost regard.

I am not an Irish goddess, nor do I have flowing red hair. But, I would consider myself to be fairly graceful, wise on some subjects, and I do love hard.

I'm currently a student at UNCW majoring in Communications and Creative Writing, with minors in Journalism and English. I'd say I'm pretty ambitious with strong goals I want to reach.

In this blog, I have some articles that are published and written from the heart. I will also include vlogs on certain subjects I feel will better come across in the way I speak. And on the occasion, a makeup tutorial to show my artsy side!
